25 insurers we work with

We are an independent brokerage: no single insurer employs us, and our advice isn't tied to one company's products. We can place your coverage with 25 Canadian insurers — and that independence matters most when your situation isn't straightforward, because insurers genuinely differ on the same file.

How we choose between them

We match your file to the insurer whose underwriting will treat it best. For harder files we pre-check anonymously with two or three carriers before anything formal is submitted. Before you apply, you receive written disclosure listing the insurers we represent, as required by FSRA.

Common questions

Is it cheaper to buy directly from the insurance company?

No. Life insurance premiums in Canada are filed rates. The price is the same whether you buy directly or through a broker. What changes is that a broker compares carriers for you and advocates for your file, at no extra cost.

Why does the choice of insurer matter?

Because insurers assess the same application differently. A build, a condition, or an occupation that one carrier rates heavily, another may accept at standard rates. Matching your file to the right insurer is most of the value we provide especially for harder-to-insure situations.

Do you represent all of these insurers equally?

We place business wherever your file is treated best. Before you apply, you receive written disclosure of the insurers we represent and how we are compensated.
